Why Business Owners Prefer To Hire Virtual Assistants?

There is a big question doing the rounds—why virtual assistants have become a hot property for small business and online business owners? The answer is---big time economic gains and high productivity.

A virtual assistant is a contractor or small entrepreneur himself who will charge for the hours they work instead of taking a guaranteed monthly salary.

Businesses love this arrangement as they are not losing anything. They get the desired hours of work a week, (for example 30 hours of work at the rate of $10 per hour including admin, creative and technical tasks).

Moreover, small businesses hire more virtual assistants as a (mom-and-pop operation)--a popular euphemism for small business, does not justify full-time assistants as there may not be enough work to justify their existence.

So who will not love to hire a remote assistant who is willing to work without demanding a monthly salary; a hi-tech workstation or so any additional perks or privileges.?

Even if it is a personal assistant, it does not matter if the business owner never meets his assistant, maybe he will just see a photo in the online résumé and can only communicate through Skype.

Companies are now ever more comfortable to operate with remote and mobile workers as online tools have made it easier to keep in touch with the home office and do clerical work from remote locations.

This flexibility is useful as the business owner can adjust the work according to the budget. Being contractors themselves, obviously a virtual assistant’s hourly cost will be higher than that of a full-time employee. The virtual assistant industry is growing and continue to grow so long as companies operate under reduced overheads.

  1. The power of the internet is such that even those tasks that were previously thought to be impossible to complete from home can now be completed through the use of a computer. One such job is a virtual assistant. Whereas most people would like to have assistants for their businesses, not everyone can afford one. This is where virtual assistants come into play as they can be hired for almost half the money on a full time, on the job, assistants. Virtual assistants can earn up to $20 per hour and earn a substantial income if they have a liking for working at home.
